Amazing product. My boyfriend’s hair is quite thin and this product made it look like he has such a thick and beautiful hair. Also, it lasts a very long day, just apply some hairspray to make sure it is secured and you are good to go!

I have been using this each day over the last week and trying different amounts.I was somewhat apprehensive when I first opened and tested it as the dark powder that came out looked to me like fine dust or soot but I persevered and used it anyway.Over the week I have found that I do have to use quite a lot of it to make a real difference, I can see a slight change in the thickness look of my hair by using just a moderate amount but as soon as I stand under a light the thinness of my hair shows through with a shiny reflective scalp, lol.The last time I tried it (today) I used about twice as much as before and again I notice a difference in the look and this time my scalp didn’t show quite so much when seen in a bright light, so I think with some more experimentation I will likely get it a little better still. The container has small holes in the top covered by a lid, when you remove the lid you can simply shake the contents out like using a pepper pot. It doesn’t let a lot out each time so it is fairly easy to moderate the use and keep adding as you need to, for the desired effect.I have also noticed that using this doesn’t create a mess, I was expecting it to end up all over my top but my clothing was left clean, I then used a little hairspray after running a comb through my hair and through the day it seems to stay in place. This seems to be a decent product for the price but you will need to experiment a little to get your look right.

InstaHair Best Hair Building Fibres Dark Brown 23g -is one product I would happily recommend as it is so easy to apply and really does add volume and definition to your hair. Due to thyroid problems, my hair has become thinner, and this is especially noticeable around the hairline and where I part my hair which is usually down the centre where my main parting usually is.I liked the fact it was easy to apply, and I was able to build it up lightly until I received what I wanted for my own hairstyle and the confidence this product was able to provide for me as I find if my hair looks good, I feel good.A very good product which I would happily recommend.

Theres definitely a bit of a knack to using this product, and it would definitely help to have someone to help, especially if you need to apply it to the crown or towards the back of the head.I tried it out at the front of my hairline and found it a bit awkward to sprinkle it where it needed to be, and ended up putting it on my fingers and then patting it into place. The colour is quite dark, but nonetheless the result looked quite natural and definitely made the front of my hair look fuller.I think its worth experimenting to find the best way to to get the best result. It seems to work better for me on freshly washed/dried hair and then set in place with a spritz of hairspray.Overall, the result looks natural and hair does appear thicker. The price point seems to be about right compared to similar products, but the product doesn’t seem to be available in any other colours. I think that a shade lighter would be more suitable for me.I will persevere with it, but the jury’s out as to whether I will continue to purchase once its all used up.

I got these artificial hair fibres for my husband who has thinning hair on the top of his head. They come in a nice tub with a shaker on the top like baby powder and therefore are quite easy to use. As advised in the instructions, they are best used on clean hair and then hair sprayed over to keep them in place, otherwise they do fall out and rub off especially if you touch the area. However I have to say that they do work better than expected and look quite natural especially if you use them in the middle of hair as with the top of the head. If you use them along a hair line they don’t look as good. Also my husband tried to use them on top of hair with oily products already in it and these just clung to the wax and oil and made a terrible mess so best to use this stuff on clean dry hair.I hope you find this helpful.

I ordered this for my father who started having baldness. He becomes very ashamed and I thought this would be a temporary alternative. Today he tried for the first time, and for now the result looks good. The color of this powder is identical to the natural color of his hair, so it is practically not seen to be this powder. This powder has another plus, it can also be used to provide more volume when arranging hair for women or when the hair is dirty and you do not have time to wash it, it is a time saver, you can use this powder and it immediately absorbs excess fat and visually the hair looks more arranged. I’m fine with this purchase, and my father is happy that he managed to hide a little of his problem.

Well this was fun. I put it on my friends balding head lol! It did work really well apart from where he basically had an actual bald spot so it didn’t take to that, just look dlike I’d spread marmite on his head 😂Where he still had hair growth even though very small it worked great!I will say it does go darker as the time goes on. I think if you are starting to thin then this will work a treat for you.Obviously the more you use it the easy it will be to apply, I had got it everywhere but I thought that was fun at the time. It’s very easy to wash off in seconds just under water. You would need to set it with hairspray or something to keep it there but I think it’s a great idea for women and men. Just make sure you choose the right colour the dark brown is very dark.

I have a wide parting in my hair so tried some of this. You sprinkle it where you need it and the illusion of hair appears! Spray a bit of hair spray or styling spray so that it holds for the day. It’s definitely helpful and not messy to use. It will wash out but brushes out easily. Very handy.

I have been seeing adverts for products like this for ages and so when I saw this, I had to try it.I have thick hair but my hairline has always been a bit thin.Followed instructions and applied to my hairline but it actually made my hair look dirty. Then when I tried to brush my hair to get it to blend in, it more or less brushed out.Maybe if I was applying it in the crown of my head other other parts it might of been more effective but on my hairline, no.Well at least I can say I’ve tried it now but wouldn’t buy in the future.Think I will just embrace my hairline in future.

  11. PerfectlyPointed

I have receding hair lines on the upper diagonal of my head and thin areas down the side, so I thought it would be ideal to try this. The colour match for my medium to dark brown hair is good. I first tried tipping it onto my head and I found the powder would drop down onto my forehead. I then tried directly patting the container down onto my scalp and it did apply more directly in a contained way. This then allowed me to be more liberal with it as the instructions state. However, as soon as I started to move around, the powder began to fall out again onto my forehead.Trying to get it off my skin was an absolute nightmare. I had to scrub at my skin with multiple wet paper towels and a flannel. The more I rubbed it off, the worse it seemed to get. Probably not a good idea to wear this out in the rain either. Also, trying to match the hairline and get a smooth line isn’t the easiest. If you’ve got a balding or thinning patch that’s back away from the hairline, I would think this would be fine, but it’s a bit too messy for me.

Really great product. Easy to apply and last for a few days. Definitely recommend this product and really with improvementMy self esteem.

  13. Anthony Miles

My hair at the front isn’t thin enough (yet) to justify jetting off to Turkey for a transplant, but it is thin enough to be noticeable, so I’ve given these hair fibres a try. When I first used it, it scarcely seemed to work at all, but a quick look at some Youtube videos showed barbers applying it with a paddle hairbrush and a very hot hairdryer . This is the secret – it melts the fibres to your hair and also makes them swell up, increasing coverage. So apply to damp hair, style with a dryer and a metal-pronged brush and it lasts till you next wash your hair, providing a very natural, thick look. It’s very good value, too: With daily use, a bottle lasts a year.I’m very surprised the manufacturers don’t point this out…..

Having used other brands I found the holes in the shaker to be too small so the fibres didn’t come out as easy so the coverage was uneven. Personal choice

  17. Reviewer

For a long time I have been using hair fibres as I am quite thin on my crown area. Most of the ones I have used tend to have a slight purple colour to them (I use the dark brown variety), and sadly this one is no exception. That being said, the coverage is great, it is easy to apply and once hairpsrayed in place it lasts all day/night.The purple isn’t too noticeable, hence only one star knocked off.

The logic of this product to to have coloured fiber flakes attached/ statically sticks onto your existing hair in order to achieve thickening effect. I have very fine hair and hair loss during medical treatment. This powder does helps to make it better. It is not hard to use coz you just have to sprinkle them at the area you need to cover more. You may use hair spray to make it last longer. However, one thing need to be ware of is to make sure you are well covered in case of raining otherwise you’ll look quite messy. I prefer to use it if I need to go for a passport photo suit which makes me looks younger with the look of more hair.

Quiet messy and doesn’t last that long. Not a fan that it is a powder as it does go everywhere. The colour is spot on though

I was excited to try this item since I have some bald/ thinning areas in my hair in the back side that I would like to cover up. This product really helped. It feels very light, you actually can’t feel it since it is just a powder. My hair is black, and even though I ordered dark brown it still blended in very well.It doesn’t feel sticky or wet, it is very dry. You don’t have to use much to get it to completely cover-up, just a few sprinkles. Great, and it really helped! the good thing about this product is not only the result of the apply but how easy ti apply the fiber, it does not last for long though hence the 4*Good value for money…. arrived safely and deliver quickly so no issues to reportI hope this review helps other people looking for this item or other similar products on Amazon.

This is a good product for making my hair appear a little thicker along my crown where my hair is thinning. Being the same colour as my own hair it doesn’t show and blends really well.

This is my first time trying a product like this and I’m torn on my opinion. The reason is because for use on a big day/event etc when you want to cover a small problem area, then I can see it being a good product. However, for use everyday I wouldn’t. Why? Well in my test it literally wiped straight off! So not great if you get caught in the rain or a bit of wind or even if wearing a hat.I will say though that it is very light, you don’t notice it and it isn’t sticky however I think it’s best covering very small areas or areas that have thinning rather than actually bald.If you want to look your best on your big day then I’d recommend it however for me I feel more conscious wearing it than without for the fact it can literally wipe straight off your head. Therefore it’s a good product for the right circumstance but not an everyday item for me.

This product comes in a shaker container that you literally shake/tap on to your scalp. It’s a loose product that moves so it’s advisable to set it with hairspray. It’s sooooo easily to use and only takes a few minutes, very easy to add into your daily hair routine. I found lifting the hair and tapping at the roots the best method, then comb hair as usual. The colour “dark brown” is exactly that and very natural.I think a spray application would be easier for people that need to apply it to their crown, and maybe an all in one with setting ability. A few points to consider with this my husband found it a little itchy (nothing major I think he could just feel the product on his head) and maybe not the best to use with a white pillowcase. Aside from that a fantastic product – see my before and after photos!Brilliant for £9.99 (Nov ‘20), very competitively priced and lives up to all expectations.

I’m a bit on the fence with this product, its basically black talcum powered which you sprinkle on your thinking areas. It does cover the patches very well and looks good if you have dark hair, the reason I’m on the fence is it comes off very easy, don’t use it if its raining, it will drip down you face and wipe away, you’ll need a good hat to protect your head.I do like this and will use it, only wish it gave protection from the elements.

An excellent instant hair thickener that you can quickly use to cover up thinning hairlines or just create a much fuller hair volume. This bottle has a fine holes in the dispenser and contains naturally looking dark brown hair fiber’s which help cover up your thinning hair in an instant by making it look thicker. It’s suitable for both men and women though I’m not sure if they have other shades / colour’s to choose from.I’ve used other brands and for 23g this is good value by comparison however this is a finer hair fibre than others I use and you really do need to use a hair spray with it to ensure to stays in place throughout the day.Good product and great value otherwise.

I was a bit dubious but thought I had nothing to lose by giving this product a go and have to say I am over the moon with it.I’ve always had fine hair and as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gotten more paranoid about how thin it looks around my fringe and parting. I basically tapped the fibres out in the needed areas and patted them down, I also used hair spray as suggested and was so happy with the results. I instantly had thicker looking hair. I used the dark brown of which I have quite a lot of grey coming through but thought it blended really well. Was so impressed that I decided to check the company out online and have seen the amazing results for their shampoos and conditioners so have purchased those. This is great for a quick fix for when you are going out somewhere and will definitely give your confidence a boost.

I’m not completely sold on this.I can see the idea and why it would work in theory, but for me it’s too widespread when pouring.I have a patch at the front of my head where my hair is thinning and this does fill the gap but it goes everywhere and is also very obvious. From a distance yes it would look OK but its clearly not hair which makes it look odd.I guess if you were using this on the top of your head, say at the crown, it would work great but doesn’t work for me. Also the pouring is quite scattered so again for me wanting to use in a specific area, it’s not great.

Having used other brands I found the holes in the shaker to be too small so the fibres didn’t come out as easy so the coverage was uneven. Personal choice

I have a wide parting in my hair so tried some of this. You sprinkle it where you need it and the illusion of hair appears! Spray a bit of hair spray or styling spray so that it holds for the day. It’s definitely helpful and not messy to use. It will wash out but brushes out easily. Very handy.

  78. It’s me

I was sceptical about this product at first but then once I’ve tried it I found that it works. It is powdery and stays dry in your hair but the effect does not last very long. I found that is works better with a little bit of hairspray application so it lasts longer. It does make the hair look thicker and so it hides a little of the thinning coming with age. The colour is true to the description.

If you’ve used Toppik, this is a perfect equivalent that is better value gram for gram (in fact it’s almost half the price comparing like for like from some sellers). I’ve been using Dark Brown, and the colours match to a tee. No difference at all in application / effect. These powder-type products are always better with a diffuser, but there doesn’t seem to be one in the same brand / range here, and the Toppik one doesn’t fit this slightly larger cylinder size. It’s no problem though as there seem to be various other spray applicators for sale on Amazon, which you can simply decant the powder into.A great money saver if you buy more expensive alternatives regularly.

I found that is works better with a little bit of hairspray application so it lasts longer. It does make the hair look thicker and so it hides a little of the thinning coming with age. The colour is true to the description.

Having used other brands I found the holes in the shaker to be too small so the fibres didn’t come out as easy so the coverage was uneven. Personal choice

On a night out or a special occasion when you want to just lessen the gaps in your hair this is super easy to use and you can’t feel it on your hair after applicationYou can also try hairspray to keep it in longer but it should be fine as is without that

I have a wide parting in my hair so tried some of this. You sprinkle it where you need it and the illusion of hair appears! Spray a bit of hair spray or styling spray so that it holds for the day. It’s definitely helpful and not messy to use. It will wash out but brushes out easily. Very handy.

  125. R. WEST-SOLEY

  127. Rebecca

Great co erase and realistic hairline. Takes a little getting used to application but last long enough even when sprayed with hair spray. Washes out easily.

I’ve been suffering from hair loss/ hair shedding for about year now , however I  started for acne medication (isotretinoin / roaccutane) and it seriously increased the amount of hair fall. I was devastated and it knocked all of my confidence and I can really say that this did help my confidence back, this is easy to use, makes my hair look thicker, covers up the thinning spot, a little goes a long way and the results is pretty good. This has been a great, natural-looking solution, not only to cover balding spots, but also grey roots. Highly recommended.

  133. M

Great co erase and realistic hairline. Takes a little getting used to application but last long enough even when sprayed with hair spray. Washes out easily.

This is a good product for making my hair appear a little thicker along my crown where my hair is thinning. Being the same colour as my own hair it doesn’t show and blends really well.

  208. Martin Peters

Having used other brands I found the holes in the shaker to be too small so the fibres didn’t come out as easy so the coverage was uneven. Personal choice

Amazing product. My boyfriend’s hair is quite thin and this product made it look like he has such a thick and beautiful hair. Also, it lasts a very long day, just apply some hairspray to make sure it is secured and you are good to go!

  241. C.J.

On a night out or a special occasion when you want to just lessen the gaps in your hair this is super easy to use and you can’t feel it on your hair after applicationYou can also try hairspray to keep it in longer but it should be fine as is without that

Having used other brands I found the holes in the shaker to be too small so the fibres didn’t come out as easy so the coverage was uneven. Personal choice

I was excited to try this item since I have some bald/ thinning areas in my hair in the back side that I would like to cover up. This product really helped.
